A wrongful death lawsuit was filed by April Cooley in Maine. The lawsuit paints a horrifying picture of a home in which Cooley and her children were routinely threatened by Todd Curry.

Mr. Curry was charged with killing 13-year-old Anthony Tucker on November 28, 2006. At the time of the shooting, Anthony was trying to help his family to escape from Mr. Curry. According to the lawsuit, in addition to killing Anthony, Mr. Curry, 39, also had threatened to kill all three of April Cooley's children and to beat her infant daughter with a poker in the past.

Damages could be more than $1 million, according to the lawsuit in Somerset County Superior Court. The sale of Mr. Curry's property is prohibited pending the outcome of the lawsuit.
