Investigation into Nursing Home Abuse & Neglect

After a blind and mentally disabled man suffered second degree burns to his torso, legs and genitals in a scalding shower, the Attorney General's Office and the state Department of Health are investigating the Green Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Attorney General Drew Edmondson's office is also investigating. No charges have been filed.

Apparently this is not the first problem Green Park has had with the legal system. The record shows they have a long history of nursing home abuse and neglect. Last year a former administrator was charged with stealing trust funds. As if that wasn't enough, in 2004 a former nurse pleaded no contest to abuse by a caretaker.
The most recent victim is currently in the Hillcrest Medical Center burn unit. He not only has second-degree burns but he also has a head injury. It is abundently clear that this place need to be shut down or very closely monitored.
