Dog Bite Involving a Labrabor!!!

We have all heard horror stories about dog bites, but rarely do you hear dog bite stories invloving Labrador. Here's one. A twelve-month-old baby boy was with the family's pet Labrador in their backyard when the dog bit him in the right eye, necessitating stitches.

Family and neighbors were shocked since the family Labrador has always been a good dog and has never been aggressive or harmed anyone in any way. I would venture to guess that the little boy may have pinched or pulled at the dog. Perhaps he did something that the Labrador interpreted as an offense or attack. This is a perfect example of why children must be supervised at all times with all pets.

"I don't expect that out of a lab. I know labs, I know dogs; absolutely not. He's always been a friendly dog, always came on command, if he ever called the dog. So I'm just totally shocked," said a neighbor. The dog is being held by animal control.
