Firefighters were trying to free a woman who remained trapped inside a truck after it was struck by a Metro Blue Line train in downtown Los Angeles, a fire spokesman said.

The unidentified woman reported having shortness of breath, said Brian Humphrey, spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Two other passengers were able to exit from the wrecked vehicle. Their ages and conditions were not known. The accident was reported about 1:25 p.m. at the intersection of Los Angeles Street and Washington Boulevard.

There were no injuries reported among passengers in the train bound for Long Beach, Humphrey said.
