Accidents of any kind are unfortunate at best. However, over the holidays they are usually plentiful and are particularly difficult to deal with.

The National Transportation Safety Board Chairman Mark V. Rosenker said today that, during the holidays in the period between December 22, 2006 and January 2, 2007, he dispatched investigators to 12 fatal accidents. These particular accidents involved 31 fatalities. Three of those accidents took place in Lawrenceville, Georgia on December 25, 2006; Johnstown, Pennsylvania on December 26, 2006; and Mt. Gilead, Ohio on December 27, 2006.
