Of late, the phrase "made in China" makes many consumers downright uneasy. There have been so many recalled products that came from China people are proceeding with extreme caution, and who can blame them.

Product recalls from China continued this week when a New York company recalled two snack food products. The recalled products were feared to be contaminated with salmonella, which was traced to seasoning and was manufactured in, you guessed it, China. What seems to make matters worse is the typical response regarding defective products coming out to China. Case and point: "It can be said that the quality of China's exports all are guaranteed," said a Commerce Ministry spokesman recently.

While there may be many safe Chinese products, the number of unsafe products coming out of China is alarming to many.
