Contaminated Canned Food Still on Shelves

The Food and Drugs Administration are doing spot checks due to the recent canned meat recall, and they are not happy with what they are finding. In spite of the recall, nationwide spot checks show that there are stores selling canned food that may contain botulism.

You may recall that Augusta, Georgia-based Castleberry's Food Company started recalling more than 90 potentially contaminated products more than a week ago. Thousands of cans of meat products have been removed from shelves since the recall began. However, in states such as North Carolina, more that three stores were found to be offering the recalled products.
