Staged Auto Accidents

Greg OwenFebruary 08, 2007 4:33 PMStaged automobile accidents are a big business. It is often quite profitable until the perpetrators are caught, and as a rule, they are eventually caught. Ten suspects, including a doctor and two attorneys were caught and were arrested by Houston police. There are three others still on the loose.
These arrests came after a two-year investigation. This type of scheme cost citizens and insurance companies enormous amounts of money. As you can imagine, any loss the insurance companies experience is passed on to the consumer.
The photographs of the three others that are being sought by the police in connection with this insurance fraud ring can be found by clicking on the link. Their names and ages are as follows: Francisco Diaz, 21; Francisco Tapia Jr., 21; and Victoria Martinez, 29.
Those who participated in staging automobile accidents were arrested and charged with engaging in organized criminal activity are: Luis Jose Galvan, 34; Michael Alan Koris, 45; Senaida Salgado, 28; Deidamia Perez, 26; Alberto Avila, 32; Jason Nixon, 28; Christopher Keith, 20; and Jessica Rivera, 21. Doctor Koris is the doctor charged in the investigation. The two attorneys who were arrested are Alphonsus Ezeoke, 45, and Benjamin Mbonu, 47. Alphonsus Ezeoke is charged with possession of a controlled substance, and Benjamin Mbonu is charged with being an outside fugitive in Fort Bend County.
