Hit and Run Driver Injures Motorcyclist

At approximately 2:00 p.m. on Friday, two miles east of the Hamilton Pool Nature Preserve, an unknown driver is accused of causing a motorcyclist to run off the road.

According to witnesses, the hit and run vehicle was dark in color. It appears, the driver of the hit and run vehicle attempted to illegally overtake two motorcycles while they were on a curve. Suddenly, oncoming traffic appeared, as it often does, at which time the driver of the hit and run vehicle tried to avoid the oncoming car and in doing so he forced one of the motorcycle riders off the road. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist, John T. Rodriguez suffered life-threatening injuries. Let's hope they find this wise guy.
